PLUMBING FIELD SUPERVISOR
Construction Division

Position Summary:

 

The Commercial Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing field employees and subcontractors to maximize field production and overall project success. They report progress and field problems to the project manager and assist in resolving installation conflicts. Additionally, they oversee field production and manpower scheduling.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage project mechanics and hold regular meetings to ensure efficient field operations.

  • Schedule manpower, including future needs, and maintain a 3-week look ahead.

  • Enforce discipline and control among field personnel to optimize production efficiency.

  • Create materials lists for the project.

  • Coordinate work with other trades on the project.

  • Perform quality control measures and testing to ensure proper installation and functioning of systems.

  • Enforce jobsite safety requirements for all employees and subcontractors.

  • Monitor project schedule to meet completion deadlines.

  • Notify the project manager of any additional work that arises during the project and assist in estimating the associated costs.

  • Attend progress meetings as required.

  • Maintain project paperwork, such as daily reports.

  • Manage and mentor foremen to maintain a neat and organized workplace.

  • Prepare and supervise the project punch list to facilitate timely completion.

  • Ensure projects are completed to satisfaction through a final walk-thru with the client.

  • Attend and participate in monthly forecast meetings.

  • Enter daily time records for all personnel on the project.

  • Track quantities installed each day.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of new equipment prior to installation and report any discrepancies to the project manager.

  • Work with project foremen to ensure accurate maintenance of as-built drawings.

  • Assist in training and developing field technical skills.

  • Mentor employees in setting and achieving personal goals while upholding Blauch Brothers, Inc. standards.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project foreman.

  • Strong knowledge of blueprints and project specifications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license.
