FIELD COMMERCIAL PLUMBING SUPERINTENDENT
Construction Division 

Position Summary:

​

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing field employees and subcontractors to optimize project productivity and success. They report project progress, field issues, and assist in resolving installation conflicts to the project manager. This role oversees field production and manpower scheduling.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages project mechanics, conducting regular meetings to oversee field operations.

  • Schedules manpower, including future project needs (3-week look ahead).

  • Maintains discipline and control of field personnel for maximum production efficiency.

  • Creates materials lists for the project.

  • Coordinates work with other trades on the project.

  • Performs quality control measures and testing to ensure proper system installation and operation.

  • Enforces jobsite safety requirements for employees and subcontractors.

  • Monitors project schedule to meet assigned completion time.

  • Notifies the project manager of any additional work and assists in estimating its cost.

  • Attends required progress meetings.

  • Maintains project paperwork, such as daily reports.

  • Manages and mentors foremen to maintain a tidy and organized workplace.

  • Supervises project punch list for timely completion.

  • Ensures 100% project completion and conducts final walk-through with the client.

  • Attends and participates in monthly forecast meetings.

  • Enters time and quantities installed daily for project personnel.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Verifies the correctness of new equipment prior to installation and notifies the project manager of any discrepancies.

  • Works with foremen to maintain accurate as-built drawings.

  • Assists in training and developing field technical skills.

  • Mentors employees in setting and achieving personal goals while upholding Blauch Brothers, Inc. standards.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project foreman.

  • Strong knowledge of blueprints and project specifications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license.
