JOB DESCRIPTION
PROJECT MANAGER
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of the Project Manager is to oversee work in progress for jobs assigned to him/her and to ensure that they are completed in a timely and profitable manner. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring workflows are being followed, reviewing all project billings, and ensuring that all project related meetings are scheduled as required for assigned projects. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the BBI team to provide the seamless working environment required to meet customer and company needs. Lastly, the Project Manager will assist in any other tasks assigned by their supervisor.
Work Schedule
The hours and days of work are as needed and at the direction of the Blauch Brothers, Inc. Operations Manager. Hours may be changed (increased or decreased) by Blauch Brother’s Inc. Operations Manager as required.

Typically, this position will require between 43-47 hours a week.

Responsibilities
​
Weekly
-
Attend Friday project update meetings and provide updates for our team
-
Meet with your Project Managing team as directed
-
Attend manpower forecast meeting
-
Work with Field Operations Manager to schedule manpower to meet schedule
-
Responsible to confirm claimed quantities for all jobs assigned
-
Responsible to ensure material cost stay within budget.
-
Responsible for notifying purchasing department of what and when material is needed onsite.

Reviewing the short interval plan for the upcoming weeks and confirm manpower requests are reasonable.

Conduct regular site visits and assess progress, problem solve and provide support to field personnel as needed

Create and organize project forecast meetings for assigned jobs

Submit progress billings for all assigned jobs

Review WIP schedule prior to monthly billings for assigned jobs

Review aging (late payments) and reach out to GC and/or owner as needed

Review department OKR’s and quantified outcomes

Participate in PM training

Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve construction dept. procedures and production efficiency.

Start-up and close-out of jobs

Coordinate equipment and material procurement

Responsible to provide job schedule of values

Attend GC/Owner progress meetings and provide update and coordinate schedules with other team members.

Incorporate change orders into contracts.

Oversee assembly of operation maintenance data, drawings, and owner training.

Responsible to ensure control budgets are accurate and given timely to accounting.

Supports and participates in The Unified Group, trade and peer groups, through attendance at training events, communication via email and responding to other members.

Project Manager reports to Blauch Brothers, Inc. Sr. Project Manager.

Project Manager does not supervise/oversee manpower.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Sage 300, eSUB, Viewpoint Estimating, Bluebeam Revu, Web-based reporting system, and the BBI network file system

Ability to become proficient with GC’s Project Management web- based tools (Procore, sharefile, etc.)
Additional Requirements
Valid Virginia Driver’s License required along with an acceptable driving record as defined by our insurer

Experience
​
2+ years of project management, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
​
Physical Requirements
​
Must be able to perform basic tasks consistent with an office environment including but not limited to sitting at a desk for long periods of time, bending, crouching or kneeling to access files from ground level to 4.5 feet above the ground, pushing/pulling of file drawers, reaching in all directions and working at a computer and/or telephone for prolonged periods of time. The following capabilities are required but not limited to: able to see for purposes of reading instructions, labels and other printed matter; ability to operate computer hardware and peripheral devices; able to hear and understand speech at normal levels in person and/or on the telephone; able to communicate verbally so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation in person and/or on the telephone.
